The Ride
Been working hard to get published, writing, editing, submitting, reading – everything you need to do to get that elusive first book into print, I’ve been trying.
So far, it’s not working. It’s frustrating. It’s maddening. It’s borderline self-abuse. But it’s something I won’t give up on because I feel like I have a talent, and I feel like I have stories worth telling.
Given all that, I woke up this morning with the above song on my mind. Sort of sums up how things are going, and it’s one of the best songs EVER at capturing a mood with both lyrics and composition. A better “ghost” song has never been written (sorry, Devil Went Down to Georgia).
Just some mood music for the day – if your dreams aren’t quite panning out, hang in there. It’s a long, hard ride.
